C-Tran to unveil new La Center bus Wednesday

LA CENTER — C-Tran will unveil its latest community bus Wednesday in La Center.

The sixth bus in the series will be parked outside La Center City Hall, 214 E. Fourth St., before the city council meeting begins at 6:30 p.m.

The La Center bus features photos of landmarks in and around the community. It also includes several historical images of the city.

C-Tran already has developed community buses for Battle Ground, Camas, Ridgefield, Vancouver and Washougal.

Each bus design is printed on a vinyl wrap covering the vehicle.

C-Tran staffers provide photography and design work while Ballyhoo of Camas creates and installs the wrap.

When the program is complete, bus wraps will feature all seven cities in C-Tran’s service area, as well as one representing unincorporated Clark County.

The La Center bus will officially go into service later this month. The last two buses in the series, featuring Yacolt and Clark County, will roll out in early 2020.
