PORTLAND — The Columbia River proved just how dangerous it can be on Friday.
The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office reported that it recovered the body of a man who had gone under the water near Kelley Point Park on the Columbia River at about 10 p.m. The body was pulled from the river at 11:10 p.m. The sheriff’s office will release more details after notifying the family.
The sheriff’s office was also investigating another possible drowning off Sauvie Island Friday evening.
