Update: Irene Holden, 75, has been located and is safe, according to police.
Vancouver police are asking for help in locating a missing elderly woman.
Police officers were dispatched around 10:25 a.m. Friday to the 1400 block of Officers Row for a welfare check, Vancouver Police Department said in a news release.
The officers determined that someone called the woman’s relative to report she was sick. When police went to check on her, she was not home. It is believed she walked off, the police department said.
Irene Holden, 75, is described as having a small build and short white and gray hair. She is not associated with any vehicle, police said.
“A check with local hospitals turned up negative for Irene who has unknown medical issues at this time,” police said.
Anyone with information about Holden’s possible whereabouts should call 911 as soon as possible.
