Group looks to restock feminine products

A group that collects pads and tampons for homeless women and girls during the month of February, called Every28Days, is asking for donations again. That’s because supplies from the 28-day drive — intended to reflect the number of days in a woman’s cycle — are typically used up by this time of year.

A women’s group at Partners in Careers that is funded by Empower Women + Girls asked businesses to put out Every28Days collection bins between June 19 and July 17 to refill the group’s supplies. People are encouraged to donate boxes of feminine hygiene products at the following locations in the Vancouver area:

• 3 Monkeys Pub, 7917 N.E. Highway 99.

• Creative Colors Released Hair Studio, 9108 N.E. Highway 99.

• A Bath and A Biscuit, 4219 N.E. St. Johns Road.

• Educational Opportunities for Children & Families, 17800 S.E. Mill Plain Blvd., Suite 150.

• Bridgeview Education and Employment Resource Center, 505 Omaha Way.

• Partners in Careers, 3210 N.E. 52nd St.
