State Highway 503 was closed between Northeast 189th Street and Southwest 40th Street after a multi-vehicle crash Monday afternoon, according to emergency radio traffic monitored at The Columbian.
The crash involved at least three cars, according to the scanner. Fire crews extinguished a blaze in a silver SUV involved in the crash.
One of the drivers involved in the crash is known to police and was combative when approached by first responders, according to the scanner. Police were fighting with the man after approaching him.
Two injuries have been reported, one of which was listed as traumatic and the other one noted as minor.
