Four teens injured in crash at Vancouver interchange

Four teenagers were injured Friday evening after the driver crashed her car at the Highway 500 and Interstate 205 interchange.

At 11:04 p.m. Friday, a 17-year-old driver in a 2007 Lexus sedan was headed eastbound on Highway 500, according to a news release from Washington State Patrol. The driver, who had three other girls in her vehicle, took the ramp to head southbound on Interstate 205 when she struck the Jersey barrier.

The driver’s car flipped and came to rest on its top, according to the news release. The driver and three passengers — two 17-year-olds and one 16-year-old — were injured and transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center. The girls are not being identified because they’re juveniles.

The car was totaled. Drugs and alcohol were not a factor in the crash, according to the release.
