Clark County is seeking three new members for its Animal Protection and Control Advisory Board.
The three positions, which would begin immediately, are open to a licensed veterinarian, livestock owner and an at-large member. Terms for the livestock and at-large positions end Oct. 31, 2022, and the veterinarian term ends Oct. 31, 2023.
The board meets quarterly at 6:30 p.m. on the fourth Thursday of the month at the Clark County Public Safety Complex, 505 N.W. 179th St., Ridgefield.
The 10 board members report to the Clark County Council and Vancouver City Council at least once each year on general operations of the program, recommend code modifications, act as an appeals hearing board, volunteer at outreach and fundraising events, and promote the program and licensing of dogs and cats.
The deadline for applications is 5 p.m. July 24.
