Crews extinguish house fire in Salmon Creek

Firefighters quickly extinguished a house fire Saturday evening in Salmon Creek.

Clark County Fire District 6 crews responded at 6:19 p.m. to a two-story house at 13917 N.E. Salmon Creek Ave., according to emergency dispatch logs.

The blaze reportedly started at the back of the house and had extended into a wall, according to emergency radio traffic monitored by The Columbian.

Firefighters knocked down the blaze in about 10 minutes and were checking if fire had extended to other parts of the residence, according to radio traffic.

The Clark County Fire Marshal’s Office was called to investigate.
