County confirms six COVID-19 cases and no deaths

Clark County Public Health confirmed six new COVID-19 cases and no new deaths Tuesday morning.

The county has 412 confirmed cases and 25 deaths. At least 7,613 people have been tested in Clark County. Public Health confirmed five new cases on Monday.

Clark County has around 5.4 percent of its tests returning positive. Gov. Jay Inslee announced Tuesday that Clark County along with nine other Washington counties can apply for a variance to move into phase II or COVID-19 recovery earlier than expected.

Four people are hospitalized for the virus in Clark County, and two people in an intensive care unit — the lowest numbers in weeks.

There are 73 cases associated with Clark County long-term care facilities.

Washington has 18,611 confirmed cases, and 1,002 deaths from the virus. At least 289,135 people have been tested, with 6.4 percent of tests returning positive.
