Carolyn Long, a Democrat running to represent Washington’s 3rd Congressional District, gained an endorsement from a major national pro-choice group.
NARAL Pro-Choice America is supporting Long in November. The group announced the endorsement on April 15, one of five candidates challenging incumbents nationwide to earn the organization’s backing.
“Americans deserve congressional leaders who will fight to defend our freedom to make personal decisions about pregnancy without interference from politicians,” Ilyse Hogue, president of the group, said in a press release.
Long previously received an endorsement from EMILY’s List, another pro-choice group that helps female politicians raise money for their campaigns.
