Two seriously injured in rollover crash in St. Johns area

Three people were injured, two seriously, in a rollover crash in the St. Johns area early Monday morning, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were called at 12:34 a.m. to the intersection of Northeast 88th Street and St. Johns Road for a report of a collision between a Ford Ranger and Honda Pilot.

According to a press release, the Ford, driven by  Christian Anderson, 22, of Washougal, was traveling west on 88th Street when it collided with the Honda, which was heading north on St. Johns. The collision caused the Ford to flip over and land on its top.

Anderson and a passenger, identified as Andrea Karschney, 21, of Vancouver, required extrication by fire personnel from the Ford, according to the press release.  Both were transported to an area hospital with significant injuries.

The driver of the Honda, identified as Courtney Ogg, 28, of Vancouver, was also injured and was transported to an area hospital by a family member.

No citations have been issued, according to the sheriff’s office, but it is evident that one of the drivers failed to stop at a red light.  Detectives are evaluating scene evidence, video footage and witness statements to assist in their investigation.

The intersection was closed for hours Monday morning for the investigation.
