One person was flown to a local hospital following a head-on crash Thursday afternoon on state Highway 503 in Woodland.
The crash was reported at 4:16 p.m. at Milepost 52.2 near McCracken Road, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation. The road was fully blocked while transportation crews and emergency responders worked at the scene, the agency said.
Washington State Patrol Trooper Will Finn said on Twitter that the crash involved two vehicles. One person was taken via LifeFlight to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver, Finn said.
Drivers were asked to use alternate routes, if possible. Officials did not know when the road would fully reopen.
