Gas line leak shuts down part of Fourth Plain Boulevard in Vancouver

Vancouver Public Works crews have shut down a portion of Northeast Fourth Plain Boulevard due to a gas line rupture.

Public Works said on Twitter that the road was closed at Northeast 137th Avenue due to a gas line that was struck by a private contractor.

NW Natural responded to the leak.

Workers have established detours on Fourth Plain in both directions. The road closure was estimated to last until 6 p.m.

Commuters have been asked to avoid the area.
