Clark, Cowlitz counties’ law enforcement searching for duo suspected of theft

A man and a woman are wanted by police for a string of thefts at Clark County Walmarts, and they may be headed for Cowlitz County, according to Cowlitz 911 dispatch logs.

The pair hit three Clark County Walmarts on Monday, according to information sent to Cowlitz 911. They were described as driving a black Toyota Scion with a license similar to Oregon 373KER.

The female driver has waited in the car while the male passenger goes inside stores, steals items and then leaves through emergency exits, according to call log information.

The man was described as white and in his mid-forties with a medium build and brown hair. He may be wearing a gray hat, blue-white checkered shirt and blue jeans.

Drivers of the vehicle fled from Battle Ground police officers after it was spotted near the Battle Ground Walmart, according to the call logs. That department has developed probable cause for arresting the suspects, who are wanted for questioning in several other thefts.
