Rollover on I-5 Bridge stalling traffic in Vancouver

A crash on the Interstate 5 Bridge early Thursday morning is stalling traffic in Vancouver.

A rollover on the northbound I-5 Bridge blocked two lanes, but it was cleared around 6:45 a.m., according to the Washington State Department of Transportation. Slowing traffic 

The crash appears to have affected the freeway’s southbound traffic. The backup of cars begins just north of 78th Street, according to traffic maps. 

Vehicles trying to get onto I-5 southbound are plugging up the streets in downtown Vancouver. C-Tran said on Twitter that buses are currently not serving Turtle Place.

Officials urged commuters to use Interstate 205 to head south into Portland, but traffic on the freeway quickly piled up. Maps show stop-and-go traffic reaching Northeast Padden Parkway.
