Elementary school students got their hands clapping and feet moving this week at Hough Elementary School at a new summer camp hosted by the Hough Foundation.
The free, two-week camp covered topics such as horticulture, samba dancing and a beginners music lesson.
Jill Campbell, executive director of the Hough Foundation, said the camp offered a “fun, educational safe place” for neighborhood families for whom expensive summer camps might be out of reach.
Most Clark County students return to school next week; the first day of school for Vancouver Public Schools is Tuesday.
