From the Newsroom: Former editor left big shoes to fill

I have big shoes to fill in writing this column. Craig Brown-sized shoes, to be more precise. As our former editor here at The Columbian, Craig always seemed to have something to write about in From the Newsroom. Sometimes I scour through his old columns to see what he wrote to get inspiration for the topics of my weekly column. He’s written about newsroom updates, our sometimes quirky culture, problems we’ve faced, what other newspapers are doing compared with ours and much more.
