State salmon board awards grants for three county projects-media-1

Maurice Frank, the Restoration Coordinator for the Lower Columbia Fish Enhancement Group, throws a salmon carcass into the upper Washougal River. Salmon carcasses are an important source of marine-derived nutrients that feed the river and its watershed, and help young salmon survive.
